Checkmate Raglan Sweater is a classic sweater with raglan sleeves and a two-colored pattern, giving it a retro-inspired look. The Checkmate Raglan Sweater is a raglan version of the Checkmate Sweater. While the Checkmate Sweater is relatively simple to knit, the Checkmate Raglan Sweater has a slightly higher difficulty level.
The Checkmate Raglan Sweater is knitted top-down with raglan increases and a round neckline. The upper section is worked back and forth while shaping the neckline with raglan increases. The work is then joined in the round. Once the desired length is reached, a ribbed hem is worked and finished with an Italian bind-off.
The sleeves are completed separately. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline to knit a ribbed collar, which is also finished with an Italian bind-off.
