Hyggesweater is a classic oversized knit with a deep V-neckline and extra-long sleeves.

Hyggesweater is knitted from the top down. Increases are made for the shoulders around a shoulder stitch, while simultaneously increasing for the V-neck. Once the shoulder width is reached, work continues back and forth. Under the arms, the work is joined, and stitches are knitted in the round over all stitches. When the desired length is reached, bind off after a ribbed edge, and pick up stitches along the neckline for ribbing. Sleeve stitches are picked up directly from the armholes.

Measure the widest part of your upper body and add 20-45 cm. Compare the numbers with the finished measurements of the project and choose the size accordingly.

Brown version: Alva color 208, Cardamom + Tilia color 203, Camel. The neckline ribbing of this version is knitted with 4 mm needles and gently falls off one shoulder. 

Burgundy version: Alva color 245, Bordeaux + Tilia color 324, Amethyst. The neckline ribbing of this version is knitted with 3.5 mm needles and does not fall off the shoulder. 

Gauge

21 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles 

Circular needles 3.5 and 4 mm, 80 cm when using the magic loop method – alternatively, use short circular needles or double-pointed needles for the sleeves.
