Irma Blouse is a classic raglan sweater worked with two strands of mohair held together. It has short sleeves and a round neckline. The sweater is cropped and shaped with waist decreases.

Irma Blouse is worked top down with raglan increases and a round neckline. At the beginning, work back and forth with raglan increases while shaping the neckline. The pieces are then joined and worked in the round with raglan increases. The sleeves are worked in the round and finished with ribbing. The sweater is completed with a ribbed hem that accentuates the waist.

The waist circumference can be adjusted by using larger or smaller needles. The measurements correspond to a gauge of 25 sts in rib. If worked at 24 sts, the measurements are: 75 (81) 88 (95) 101 (108) 115 cm.

Gauge

20 sts x 26 rnds = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles with two strands held together.
25 sts = 10 cm in twisted rib on 3.5 mm needles with two strands held together.

Circular needles 4.5 mm, 4 mm and 3.5 mm, 80 cm when using the magic loop method – alternatively use shorter circular needles or double-pointed needles for the neckline and sleeves.
