Poula Chunky Scarf is a cosy triangular scarf featuring a delicate lace pattern, knitted in a soft blow yarn that creates a larger scarf than the Poula Scarf, which is knitted in a finer cashmere yarn. A sweet little beanie in the same pattern accompanies the scarf.

Poula Chunky Scarf is knitted from the tip, with stitches gradually increased along one side of the work. There are edge stitches at each end: an i-cord edge on one side and garter stitch on the other. Between the edge stitches, the scarf is worked in stockinette stitch, interrupted by sections of lace pattern.

Poula Beanie is knitted from the ribbed brim towards the crown. Stitches are cast on using an Italian cast-on, after which the ribbing is worked. The body of the beanie is worked in reverse stockinette stitch, interrupted by sections of lace pattern, and finished with decreases towards the top.

Gauge
15 sts x 25 rnds = 10 x 10 cm in pattern on 5 mm needles. Use, for example, an 80 cm circular needle for the scarf and a 40 cm circular needle for the beanie, unless using the magic loop technique.
